With the increase of crude oil prices countries like Saudi Arabia, Venezuala and Russia have had a major bonanza. However, similar or even larger increase in prices of minerals such as iron ore has had very little impact on the mineral rich but otherwise poor states of India such as Orissa. Here we will collect pointers and data to establish how much this has cost Orissa and recommend GOI policy changes, GOI compensation and big ticket HRD focused CSR.

Goal of this blog
In this blog we will collect data and pointers to show that the faulty mining policies and royalty rates in India have cost the mineral rich states of India, especially Orissa, billions of dollars.
